Agriculture Incident Safety Officer Training Program
With the support and expertise of MSPSA members, the Colorado Department of Agriculture (CDA) has completed its 2024-2026 NADPRP Project and built the Agriculture Incident Safety Officer (AGI-SOFR) Training Program for state departments of agriculture and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). This curriculum provides a consistent training program that can be utilized across the country to build a cadre of new and/or better-equipped safety and assistant safety officers for animal disease response and all-hazards incidents on farms, ranches, and ag enterprises. The AGI-SOFR Training Program leads to a certification or endorsement after attending the 2 and 1/2 day course and completing the AGI-SOFR Position Task Book (PTB). Please review the material, make it your own, and share and teach the modules to make on-farm, on-ranch operations safer for all responders and ag workers.
